MO | Curatorial ArtLab is an independent international art platform curated by the multidisciplinary artist Chira Ona.
The project functions as a conceptual space where different paths of human existence interact and find their place on canvas. It is a territory of engineering structures, cosmic data, synesthesia and psychoanalytic visions captured and expressed as contemporary painting.
The platform focuses on the conceptual research of Chira Ona including her two alter-egos, while also presenting selective series by invited independent professional authors.
Chira is a neurodivergent artist holding an MSc in Urban Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Modern and Contemporary Art. Her research also spans cosmology and psychoanalysis.
ARTLAB STRUCTURE:
CHIRA ONA — The conceptual and SciArt core of the platform. Within this domain, the artist focuses on translating deep-space telemetry, cosmological charts, synesthetic experiences, and linguistic codes into minimalist structures on canvas.
BARUKA (alter-ego) — The territory of psychoanalysis and internal reflection. She translates the exploration of human psyche architecture, mapping the structures of the unconscious through universal archetypes and symbolic imagery. This is a space of meditation and silence.
MAX MUR (alter-ego) — Artistic freedom, industrial graphics, and the financial foundation for RINA MO’s research and projects. As an urban engineer, Max transforms city networks and spaces into visual interior canvases. He also favors abstract landscapes and the pure geometry of forms.
A private digital catalogue documents contains over 1,200 original canvases painted by Chira Ona during 12 years of continuous studio practice. This work tracks a years-long study of form and color, spanning from marine and urban landscapes to symbolic surrealism and early abstraction. Currently, these works are held in private collections worldwide.
